Castors on chairs pull carpet pile up, the down weight of the chair while you sit on the chair sinks into the carpet underlay, when moving the chair this will cause stress on the chair base & castors as well as your body while trying to move the chair under stress.

If your gas height spring ever fails it will leak oil out of the bottom, isn't it better the oil falls on the mat easy to wipe up then oil going on your carpet, it's expensive to have carpet cleaned, also your chair needs it's gas replaced - BRING THE CHAIR INTO OUR STORE or CALL FOR MOBILE SERVICE (see chair repairs section of this website)
